Ginger’s Winter Coat
Look at my beautiful baby, lying in the November sun!

It appears that my cat Ginger’s winter coat is beginning to grow in more fully now…each year around this time, her fur gets longer, fluffier, thicker and ready for the winter cold. (During the summer she’s still semi-long-haired, but not quite like this pic, which was taken today. To contrast the summer coat, you can see another pic of her taken in July, by clicking here to go to the July 21st blog entry.
I’ve often wondered if her fur’s thickness & length are an indicator of the winter ahead. It seems to me that the coldest, snowiest winters we have had in the past few years, her fur has been exceptionally long & thick. Could this little lynx-cat be psychic? Could her fur be more accurate than the Old Farmer’s Almanac? Stay tuned…it still will get thicker & longer as winter approaches. I’ll keep you posted. One thing I am sure of, though….she is probably the most gorgeous cat in the world, isn’t she?
