KYLE’S B&B: Latest News & Random Thoughts

Thank you to everyone who has sent me e-mails inquiring about when I’m going to have my figure drawing website up & running. I’m grateful for your interest! The answer is…….I’m not sure! Hopefully within the next month, but I cannot say for certain. It’s taking some time! I really want to do it right, not just slap something together. And of course, Kyle’s B&B takes priority, so I’m putting together this website to showcase my figure drawings in my spare time. I also plan to have a section of the website dedicated to the Frequently Asked Questions, (FAQs), I get from guys interested in getting into posing for figure drawings, (and I get a lot of those questions!). There doesn’t seem to be much info out there on the web about how to be successful at posing for drawing classes & artists, (especially for male models), so I think this is needed. Fortunately, I think I’m pretty qualified to give advice on this, as I’ve been in a lot of figure drawing classes & drawing groups, and I’ve seen firsthand how some male models do amazing work, and others do, well… not-so-amazing work. I’ve also heard from many guys who have real problems getting hired, and I think I have some good advice on how to not only get hired, but also to excel in the field. Just thought I’d give a little update on what’s been going on here on the B&B front:

Met Martina Navratilova this week; she was wonderful, inspiring, and a has a great sense of humor!

My computer crashed recently! It’s OK now, thank God….and I did have most of my stuff backed up, but…not all of it. So, I did lose some files, (most notably, the Links section of the Kyle’s B&B website….it’s still posted online, but…I will not be able to update that area for a while, until I can rebuild it in my files). What I am telling everyone these past few weeks is…back up your files! You never know when you might need to have them saved.

Spring seems to be arriving in Northport, slowly but surely. Weather here is getting up into the 50s on some days, although the nights go back to the chilly 30s. Hey, that’s OK…I can wait for the broiling days of Summer on Long Island, (which may force me to run off to Vermont again as much as possible!).

Figure drawings are coming along…I am working on creating a separate website for my figure drawing work, so please stay tuned! It’s taking some time to get them scanned in to the computer, but things are beginning to come together. Below is another sample of my work. Enjoy!
