It’s a New Dawn…
I didn’t think I’d fall into this blog thing. Not that I have anything against blogs. Not at all, actually…. I find them entertaining, educational, and at times rather fascinating. But I figured, my “forum” is my comic strip, and having a blog would almost be superfluous. Unnecessary. Perhaps, a distraction, even.
But the funny thing is, the “Latest News” area of my own website was beginning to look an awful lot like a blog. Posting about my trip up to Vermont in Fall, 2004, my other book tour appearances over the subsequent months, and other various goings-on in my life, what I was essentially doing there was a blog. Only it wasn’t, technically speaking, and it became a pain-in-the-butt trying to add on entries and maintain old ones and link all the growing number of pages together. And then it hit me: blog sites, (like this one), make all of that pretty easy. That’s their function in life, so to speak, (there is some French phrase, “raison d’etre”, which I believe translates into that. If not, don’t get all angry at me. After all, I took German in high school, not French. And no, please don’t ask me to translate that phrase into German, especially ‘cause I’m not sure what it means to begin with!).
But I digress, (as I’ve been known to do). This blog thing suddenly seemed a whole lot more appealling, seeing as how it’d make posting all of my “Latest News” much easier, and more orderly. So here it is! Not much else to say right now, but stay tuned for some new postings very shortly. And drop me a comment, if you’d like!
